Our Commitment
Adult Day Care Directory is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.
What We've Done
- All pages use semantic HTML5 elements (headings, nav, main, footer, address)
- Images and icons have descriptive alt text or are marked as decorative
- Color contrast ratios meet WCAG AA requirements
- The site is navigable by keyboard alone
- Phone numbers are linked with
tel:URIs for screen reader compatibility - All forms have properly labeled input fields
- The site uses a mobile-responsive layout that works across screen sizes
Known Limitations
We are a small team maintaining a large directory. Some areas may not yet fully meet accessibility standards, including:
- The search interface (powered by Pagefind) may have limited screen reader support
- External links to Google Maps and third-party sites are outside our control
