What Affects the Cost?

Program type. Social adult day programs (activities, meals, companionship) cost less than medical adult day health care programs, which add nursing supervision, therapy, and health monitoring.
Location. Urban centers and higher cost-of-living states — particularly in the Northeast and Pacific Coast — tend to have higher daily rates.
Services included. Transportation, incontinence supplies, and memory care programming may be included or billed separately. Always request a written fee schedule.
Days per week. Many programs offer discounted rates for participants attending 4–5 days per week.

How to Pay for Adult Day Care
